Our widebody nonstop cargo service between Honolulu (HNL) and Auckland, New Zealand (AKL) returns Sunday, November 16 — reinforcing Honolulu as our gateway in the Pacific connecting destinations across Asia and the South Pacific with cities throughout our growing global network.
Our nonstop flights between Honolulu and Sydney (SYD) will also expand to daily service during the busy December-January shipping season, ideal for time-sensitive shipments throughout the holidays.
The seasonal Honolulu-Auckland service operates three days a week and is ideal for efficiently moving perishable shipments like New Zealand’s renowned hops. Last April, our Alaska and Hawaiian Air Cargo teams flew 7,000 pounds of hops soon after harvest from Auckland to Indianapolis (IND) via Honolulu and Seattle (SEA) — allowing U.S. brewers to select from the hops and create distinct flavor profiles for their beers. “Hawaiian Air Cargo and Alaska Air Cargo provided the opportunity to connect the dots all the way from the growers in New Zealand to the brewers at the [Craft Brewers Conference],” Tyler Shearn, international logistics manager for Yakima Chief Hops, said last spring. Yakima Chief is a global hops supplier based in Washington state.
Our growing international network reaches locations across Asia, the South Pacific, Canada and Mexico from our hubs in Seattle and Honolulu (HNL). And in spring 2026, we will begin offering nonstop long-haul service from Seattle to London (LHR) and Rome (FCO) — creating new options for shipments traveling to destinations throughout Europe.

Other exciting network opportunities on the horizon:
Honolulu-Seattle growth: Starting in late November, we’ll add a fourth daily widebody flight between our hubs in Honolulu and Seattle, giving us a total of six flights every day.
More Hawai’i capacity for the holidays: During the busy holiday shipping period, we will add a fifth daily flight between Honolulu and Los Angeles (LAX), and we will have capacity on 12 flights every week between Anchorage (ANC) and Honolulu.
San Diego growth: This fall we added several nonstop flights each day between San Diego (SAN) and Chicago (ORD), as well as Denver (DEN). And next spring, we’ll fly new nonstop routes from San Diego to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Oakland (OAK) and Raleigh-Durham (RDU). With these additions, we will serve the top 15 most popular markets nonstop from San Diego and fly to 49 nonstop destinations.
